UCAS search gave each user a unique session that lasted only 5 minutes. After 5 minutes of inactivity a user needed to start again.
This session also formed part of the URL, meaning course pages could not be linked to, bookmarked or shared. Once a session had expired the course would need to be found again through search.
UCAS search referred to courses as ‘training programmes’.
